Retiree Services

The first group of retirees from the IWA - Forest Industry Pension Plan retired July 1, 1973. Some of them are still with us, going strong at age 100 and older. Today, there are over 20,000 retirees receiving a monthly pension from us. Our Plan pays out more than $150 million per year in pension payments.

Our pensioners are spread all over the world: Australia, British West Indies, Canada, Columbia, Costa Rica, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Phillipines, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States and Uruguay.

As a result of all this globe-trotting, keeping in touch with your former I.W.A. colleagues can be difficult. We hope our website can help. If you have a reunion you would like to publicize, or an old picture you would like to share, please let us know. We welcome your ideas.

For many years, the Pension Plan produced newsletter for our retirees. A complete archive of old issues of the newsletter can be found through the menu at the left. We hope you enjoy them. Our newsletter has been on hiatus for awhile, but we hope to bring it back. Please let us know what you would like to see.
